
Rifle Training (carbine 2)
Carbine 2 course starts with Review of Carbine 1 skills and then move to more advanced shooting and movement skill drills, including barricade and weak side shooting. This course will also work on weapons transition to handgun. Students will learn challenging drills that they can take with them to maintain their progress.
COURSE OUTLINE:
Grip, stance and the fundamentals of marksmanship
Weapons manipulations to include, movement to and from cover, positional shooting and transition drills
Various field shooting positions
EQUIPMENT LIST
Students provide their own ammo: 500 rds ammo minimum.
Required Hardware – A functional and practical carbine chambered in .223, 5,56 or 7.63 X 39. If available, a spare weapon is also an excellent idea. A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with your weapon system(s) is also a must.
A functional and practical handgun chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, or .45 ACP. If available, a spare weapon is also an excellent idea. A cleaning kit and tools that are compatible with your weapon system(s) is also a must. Each student should have a minimum of 3 working magazines. Single stack shooters should have 6 magazines.
Proper belt to support equipment
A holster and magazine pouch that will retain equipment when moving
Each student should have a minimum of 4 working magazines.
Serviceable Sling – Functional and adjustable for multiple shooting positions
Clothing suited to strenuous activity as well as being seasonally appropriate
Rain gear / cold weather gear (seasonal)
Ear protection (electronic preferred) / Eye protection
Baseball style hat (recommended)
Proper belt to support equipment
Magazine pouches (Optional: Battle belt, or Chest rig)
Tools that work on your weapon
Weapons lubricant
Water hydrating device
